How to take

Adult dose

In adults, initiate treatment with 25mg of naftopidil once daily. If the effect is insufficient, gradually increase the dose to 50~75mg at intervals of 1~2 weeks, administered orally once daily after a meal. The dose may be adjusted according to symptoms; however, the maximum daily dose is 75mg.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have hypersensitivity to its components or a genetic lactose intolerance issue. Patients with impaired liver function, severe heart disease, cerebrovascular disorders, and the elderly should use this medication with caution. Since this medication has a blood pressure-lowering effect, caution is needed for patients with orthostatic hypotension or those taking PDE5 inhibitors. When taking this medication, symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, or hypotension may occur, so symptoms should be closely monitored. If serious adverse symptoms such as liver dysfunction or loss of consciousness occur, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a medical professional. Exceeding the recommended dose may lead to excessively low blood pressure, so it is critical to adhere to the prescribed dosage. During treatment with this medication, attention should be paid to blood pressure drops caused by sudden posture changes, and caution should be exercised while driving or performing hazardous tasks. If taking blood pressure medications concurrently, blood pressure may become too low, requiring consultation with a physician for dosage adjustments. Keep out of reach of children and take the medication in its packaged state, ensuring not to swallow the package. This medication aids in symptom relief, so if no effect is seen, alternative treatment methods should be considered. Elderly patients should be monitored closely as drug excretion may be delayed due to impaired liver function.
