This medication is used as an antimicrobial skin cleanser. It is effective not only for general skin cleansing but also for cleaning wounds that are not deeper than the skin surface. It is also used for hand disinfection for personal hygiene and applies to skin disinfection of the surgical site before surgery. It helps keep the skin clean and prevent infections for various uses. Therefore, it can be used safely and effectively for hygiene management of the skin and wound areas.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

General skin and cleansing of wounds not deeper than the skin surface – clean the area to be washed with water, apply minimally to the skin or wounds, and wipe gently. Rinse thoroughly with water. Dispose of after one use. Personal hand disinfection - Wet hands with water. Use one sheet of this product and rub vigorously for 15 seconds. Rinse with water and dry completely. Precautions

This medication contains chlorhexidine gluconate and is used for the sterilization of the skin or mucous membranes. Patients with a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine should not use this medication. Patients with allergies to other medications or a medical history or family history of allergic diseases such as asthma should use this medication with caution. If symptoms such as nausea, discomfort, cold sweat, dizziness, shortness of breath, or skin redness occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult healthcare professionals. Occasionally, allergic reactions such as skin rashes or hives may occur, and if these symptoms appear, use should be stopped. This medication can cause light-sensitive reactions, so caution is needed when exposed to sunlight. Before use, it is essential to confirm any history of allergy to chlorhexidine and check for drug hypersensitivity; if severe allergic reactions occur, immediate treatment is required. It is safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women not to use this medication. This medication should be used only for topical application on the skin and should not be used in the mouth, eyes, ears, or on deep wounds. If this medication gets into the eyes, it should be rinsed immediately with plenty of clean water, and if it gets into the ears, it should also be rinsed out with cold water. It is advisable not to use it on extensive wounds or burns, especially in neonates or premature infants. Care should be taken not to inhale vapors when used for a long time or extensively. The antimicrobial effect of this medication may be reduced due to soap or cleaning agents, so the skin should be washed clean before use, ensuring no soap residue remains. If skin irritation or allergic reactions persist for more than 72 hours after use, discontinue use and consult a professional. This medication is stable within an appropriate pH range (5–7), and if the pH rises above 8, the drug may deteriorate and form crystals, so caution is needed during storage.
