Improvement of poor bone development and prevention of rickets
Vitamin D supplementation is important during critical periods such as pregnancy, lactation, growth, and old age when vitamin D is especially needed. The vitamin D component in this medication helps when the growth of bones and teeth is impaired, and it is particularly effective in preventing bone diseases such as rickets. Therefore, this medication is used to maintain bone health and assist in development.
For individuals aged 12 and older, take 1 capsule once daily.
This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia or sarcoidosis, a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown origin, and those with kidney disorders. People with allergic reactions to any component of this medication, infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones or severe renal failure symptoms should also avoid taking it. Those allergic to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts should not use this medication. Certain drugs like phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline preparations, and antacids should not be taken together with this medication. Women undergoing treatment, those who are pregnant or may become pregnant, breastfeeding women, premature infants, and young children must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Individuals with heart or circulatory problems, kidney disorders, hypoalbuminemia, or those taking cardiac glycosides also need to consult before use. Patients with a history of kidney stones or metabolic disorders such as dyslipidemia, diabetes-associated dyslipidemia, or pancreatitis should be cautious as well. This medication contains a dye called Yellow No. 5, so those sensitive or allergic to this component should take it cautiously. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hypotension, facial flushing, or irregular heartbeats occur during use, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Excessive intake of this medication may lead to gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, heart failure, and edema, hence caution is necessary. Long-term use may cause hypercalcemia or the formation of stones, so regular monitoring of conditions is essential. Particularly, co-administration with antagonists of aldosterone or triamterene may dangerously elevate potassium levels in the blood, thus care should be taken. Follow the prescribed usage and dosage strictly, and it is advisable to avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, both before and after use. Patients at risk of fatty overload should check their blood lipid levels and adjust the dosage accordingly, and when using other lipid-regulating medications, consider the total lipid load for dosage adjustment. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place. For quality maintenance, it is important not to transfer it to other containers.
