In patients with essential hypertension who are not adequately controlled with monotherapy of amlodipine or valsartan, this medication can be used to more effectively control blood pressure.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning) if possible.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy in patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so the administration of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it must be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with a known allergy to any ingredient in this medication, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and patients with severe kidney or liver disease should not take this medication. Patients who are deficient in sodium or fluid should correct their condition before using this medication, and blood pressure and body condition should be carefully monitored during treatment. Patients with high potassium levels should frequently test their potassium levels if taking this medication in conjunction with potassium-containing medications. Patients with renal vascular problems or those who have recently undergone kidney transplants should carefully monitor kidney function when taking this medicine. If signs of angioedema appear, the medication should be stopped immediately and not resumed. Patients with heart failure or post-myocardial infarction should undergo kidney function evaluation. This medication may cause dizziness or fatigue during driving or operating machinery, so caution is needed. When used in combination with other antihypertensive agents or specific drugs, the risk of side effects may increase due to interactions; thus, consult a physician. In cases of overdose, hypotension or severe cardiovascular problems may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. Safety and efficacy in children have not been adequately established, so its use in pediatric patients is not recommended. For the elderly, a similar dose as for adults is recommended, but care should be taken based on physical condition.
