How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken with sufficient water. As Amlodipine, take 2.5 mg orally once a day, and the dose can be increased to a maximum of 5 mg per day depending on the patient's response. Adjust doses appropriately based on symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. Patients who are allergic to this medication, its ingredients, or similar types of drugs should not take this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should not use this medication. Patients in a state of cardiac shock or those with cardiogenic shock may face risks when using this medication. Patients with severe issues with heart valves, unstable angina, or those who have recently experienced a myocardial infarction should avoid using this medication. Rarely, side effects such as dry mouth, increased sweating, low blood pressure, dizziness, skin rash, and liver function abnormalities may occur, so patients should consult a doctor if they experience unusual symptoms. Suddenly stopping this medication can worsen symptoms, so it’s important to taper off slowly and follow a doctor’s instructions. For heart failure patients, there may be a side effect of fluid accumulation in the lungs, so caution is advised. Patients with weak liver function may experience slower breakdown of the medication, requiring dose adjustments. This medication must be taken with sufficient water, and because blood pressure may drop leading to dizziness or headaches, caution is required when driving or operating dangerous machinery. Interactions may occur when this medication is taken with other blood pressure medications or specific antibiotics, diuretics, etc., so be sure to inform your healthcare provider of any other medications you are taking. Particularly, it is advisable to avoid taking this medication with grapefruit juice as it may enhance the effects of the drug. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not take this medication and must stop breastfeeding if using this medication.
