This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension where blood pressure cannot be effectively controlled with telmisartan alone. How to take

Adult dose

In patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with telmisartan alone, take one tablet daily with or without food. It is recommended to adjust the doses of individual components before switching to this fixed dose combination. Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combination tablets of 40/12.5 mg, 80/12.5 mg, and 80/25 mg can be administered for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children under 18 years of age, therefore it is not administered to them.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can pose serious risks to the fetus and newborn. It should not be administered to patients with allergies to the components in this medication or those with specific liver or kidney diseases.
