Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients who are allergic to the active ingredient or any of the components. While using this medicine, neurological symptoms such as headache, altered taste, and dizziness may occur rarely. Symptoms related to the eyes such as punctate keratopathy, keratitis, eye pain, dryness, swelling, itching, eye discharge, congestion, eyelid skin changes, and discomfort may occur infrequently. Rarely, light sensitivity, blurred vision, and eyelid redness may also appear. Additionally, respiratory symptoms such as nasal dryness and rhinitis have been reported, along with dry mouth, contact dermatitis, and fatigue, which may occur infrequently. Symptomatology similar to a cold or pharyngitis may occur in about 10% of patients using this medication, as well as symptoms such as malaise, low back pain, flu symptoms, frequent cough, infections, nausea, and sinusitis in some patients. This medication contains phosphates, which may lead to corneal calcification very rarely in patients with severe corneal damage. This medicine should not be used to relieve irritation related to contact lens wear. The benzalkonium chloride contained in this medicine may cause eye irritation and discoloration of soft contact lenses, so it is recommended not to wear the lenses for at least 15 minutes after application. This medication is a non-drowsy antihistamine and may temporarily blur vision after instillation, so one should wait until vision clears before driving or operating machinery. No interactions with other medications have been studied yet. During pregnancy, animal studies have shown the possibility of effects on the fetus, so pregnant women should use it cautiously after consulting with a doctor. Women who are breastfeeding should also consider the potential impact on their nursing infant due to possible excretion of the medication in breast milk. It can be safely used in children aged 3 and older, as well as in elderly patients without special differences. In case of overdose, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary for appropriate monitoring and treatment. This medicine is intended only for topical use in the eyes and should not be administered by mouth or intravenously. When using, care should be taken to avoid contact of the container tip with the eyes or hands, and the cap should be closed tightly after use to maintain cleanliness. When using with other eye drops, at least a 5-minute interval should be maintained, and if using eye ointment, it is recommended to apply the ointment last. This medicine should be stored in a tightly closed container to protect it from air and moisture, and the tamper-evident ring should be removed before use if it is loose.
