How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 200 mg once a day. Do not chew or crush the tablets; swallow them whole. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, the lowest effective dose should be taken for the shortest duration.

Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if the patient regularly consumes more than three drinks of alcohol daily, as there is a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events; therefore, patients with risk factors for cardiovascular disease such as heart disorders, hypertension, diabetes, or smoking should carefully consider taking it. As the risk of cardiovascular events may increase with prolonged use and dosage, it should be taken at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible, and symptoms and treatment responses should be checked periodically. Serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations may occur, so elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal disorders should be carefully monitored. Patients with active peptic ulcers or a history thereof, those allergic to this medication or similar drugs, patients with severe heart failure, late-stage pregnant women, or nursing mothers should not take this medication. Patients with renal impairment, heart failure, hypertension, or liver impairment should take this medication carefully, and regular tests of renal and liver function are important during treatment. This medication may cause various side effects such as dizziness, abnormal liver enzyme levels, skin rash, and gastrointestinal disturbances; therefore, if unusual symptoms occur, medical consultation should be sought immediately. It may interact with other medications, especially if the patient is taking anticoagulants, diuretics, blood pressure medications, or diabetes medications, so consultation with a doctor is essential, and medications should not be discontinued or combined on one's own. During pregnancy, especially in the last three months, it should not be taken due to potential harm to the fetus, and women planning pregnancy must consult a doctor before use. Safety for children and adolescents has not been established, so this medication is not recommended for pediatric use. Elderly patients are at higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation; thus, special caution is required when administering. In case of overdose, symptoms may include gastrointestinal irritation, hypotension, respiratory depression, or seizures; immediate medical attention is needed. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and it's safer and better for quality to avoid transferring to another container.
