Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who have had an allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. This medication contains lactose, which may pose risks for patients with genetic conditions such as lactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, and glucose-galactose malabsorption. For patients with poor liver function, the blood concentration of this medication may increase; therefore, caution is necessary. There is insufficient experience with this medication in patients with severe heart disease or cerebrovascular disorders, so careful consideration is warranted. Elderly patients are likely to have reduced liver function, which may lead to delayed elimination of this medication; thus, caution is advised when administering. Patients taking antihypertensive medications should consult with a healthcare professional before using this medication, as there may be a risk of blood pressure dropping too low. Patients with orthostatic hypotension should be cautious as dizziness or lightheadedness may worsen after taking this medication. While taking this medication, side effects such as dizziness, lightheadedness, hypotension, and gastrointestinal discomfort may occur; any unusual symptoms should be reported to a healthcare professional immediately. In cases of serious side effects such as liver dysfunction or loss of consciousness, administration of this medication should be immediately halted and appropriate treatment sought. Overdose can lead to excessively low blood pressure, so it is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage. During the initial phase of treatment or if there is a sudden increase in dosage, dizziness or lightheadedness may occur; thus, it is advisable to avoid hazardous activities such as working at heights or driving. Before taking this medication, be sure to inform your healthcare provider about any other antihypertensive or diuretic medications you are currently taking, as dose adjustments may be necessary. Caution is also needed when taking this medication along with PDE5 inhibitors (e.g., sildenafil), as there may be a risk of blood pressure dropping too low. Keep this medication out of reach of children, and ensure that the medication is taken out from the packaging before consuming, as swallowing in the original packaging may cause injury to the esophagus. This medication alleviates symptoms rather than treating the underlying cause; if it proves ineffective, other treatment options should be considered. It is important to consult a healthcare professional immediately should any unusual symptoms or discomfort arise while taking this medication.
