This medication is effective for digestive dysfunction due to aerophagia and bloating, such as bloating-related dyspepsia, nervous gastrointestinal disorders, and irritable bowel syndrome. It is also used to eliminate intestinal gas during X-ray examinations. It helps improve digestive dysfunction related to bloating that occurs after surgery. Overall, it is used to relieve gas problems in the digestive tract, reduce discomfort, and improve digestive function.

How to take

Adult dose

1 capsule 3 times a day before meals. For X-ray examinations, take 1 capsule 2 hours before the test to eliminate intestinal gas.

Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, obstruction, or perforation. It should also not be administered to patients with agitation movement disorders who are taking neuroleptics. Caution should be exercised when using this drug in the elderly. This medication contains a dye called Tartrazine, and patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to this dye should be particularly careful. Taking this medication can cause neurological symptoms such as drowsiness, agitation, insomnia, numbness of the lips or tongue, and paralysis of the limbs, and if such symptoms occur, the medication should be discontinued. Stiffness of the mouth and throat muscles may rarely occur, so caution is needed. This medication may affect the gastrointestinal system, causing constipation, nausea, dry mouth, decreased appetite, hunger, and diarrhea. Allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, and hives may rarely occur, so the medication should be discontinued if these symptoms occur. Hormonal-related side effects such as increased milk secretion, menstrual irregularities, gynecomastia, and erectile dysfunction may also rarely occur. Liver function test values may elevate, so care for liver health is required. There may be blood abnormalities leading to methemoglobinemia. Symptoms such as fatigue, lethargy, and lightheadedness may also occur. It is advised to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery while taking this medication. Additionally, vomiting symptoms may be obscured, so the condition should be closely monitored and used cautiously. Caution is needed when using this medication in conjunction with other medications. In particular, using it with central nervous system acting drugs may enhance the effects. The effects of digoxin and cimetidine may be reduced, and anticholinergic drugs or narcotic analgesics may weaken the intestinal effects of this medication. Concurrent use with alcohol, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, and narcotics may increase drowsiness or sedation. The safety of this medication for children has not been established, so its use is not recommended. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should carefully consider the benefits and risks of using this medication. Breastfeeding women should avoid breastfeeding during treatment, as this medication may be transmitted through breast milk. In case of overdose, symptoms such as drowsiness, loss of directional sense, and motor dysfunction may occur, requiring gastric lavage and appropriate treatment. Extrapyramidal symptoms may benefit from treatment with antiparkinsonian agents, anticholinergics, or antihistamines.
