Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals, as it may exacerbate symptoms. It is also advisable not to use this medicine in patients with allergies to this drug or its components, those with perforated eardrums and otitis externa, patients with ulcers or severe burns, skin diseases around the mouth or acne, and patients with itching around the anus or genitals. This medication should not be used in children under 2 years old. Caution should be exercised when administering this drug to pregnant or potentially pregnant women, nursing mothers, children, and the elderly, especially if there is an allergy to the propylene glycol component found in this medication. Using this drug may lead to skin infections and various skin side effects such as skin irritation, rashes, itching, and dryness. Prolonged use may cause thinning of the skin or dilation of blood vessels, so usage should be reduced or stopped if these symptoms occur. High doses or prolonged use may suppress pituitary or adrenal function, so care should be taken when using on extensive areas or applying occlusive dressings. When used around the eyes, caution is advised as it may cause increased intraocular pressure or eye diseases such as glaucoma, and if symptoms like blurred vision appear, an ophthalmologist should be consulted immediately. If there is a skin infection, it is recommended to treat first with antibiotics or antifungal agents before using this medicine or to combine therapies. Once symptoms improve, it is safest to discontinue use of this medication as soon as possible. In cases of pregnancy or nursing, the safety of this drug is not certain, and it should only be used when absolutely necessary, with particular caution during breastfeeding. In children, due to their larger skin surface area relative to body weight, there is a higher risk of side effects, and prolonged use should not exceed three weeks. Elderly patients may also experience side effects more easily, so careful observation is advised when using high doses or for extended periods. This medication should not be used for ophthalmologic purposes and should not be used for non-therapeutic purposes after cosmetic application or shaving. When using occlusive dressings, they should always be applied according to a physician's instructions, ensuring the affected area is cleaned beforehand to reduce the risk of infection. Keep this medication out of reach of children to prevent safety accidents.
