Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension
The combination therapy of amlodipine and olmesartan medoxomil is used in cases where blood pressure is not adequately controlled in patients with essential hypertension. This medication helps to dilate blood vessels and lower blood pressure, thereby reducing the burden on the cardiovascular system. Using both drugs together enhances blood pressure control and helps reduce the risk of complications such as heart disease or stroke. Therefore, this combination therapy plays an important role in managing hypertension and is used to reliably lower patients' blood pressure.
This medication should be taken once daily, 1 tablet, with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). The recommended dosages are as follows: - 5/20/12.5 mg: Used in patients for whom blood pressure is not adequately controlled with the amlodipine/olmesartan medoxomil combination therapy of 5/20 mg. - 5/40/12.5 mg: Used in patients for whom blood pressure is not adequately controlled with the amlodipine/olmesartan medoxomil combination therapy of 5/40 mg.
