View approved original text

This medication is used as an adjunct to lower elevated triglyceride levels in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia. It can effectively manage hypertriglyceridemia (Type IV) when administered alone. Additionally, in the combined type of hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (Type IIb), it enhances the therapeutic effect when used in conjunction with statin medications. In particular, for patients with combined Type IIb whose triglyceride levels are not adequately controlled, it improves control when used with statins. It is used to manage various types of hypertriglyceridemia and helps improve serum lipid levels.
