This medication is used for the treatment of gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, and erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is also effective in alleviating symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease and for long-term maintenance therapy. For patients infected with Helicobacter pylori, it helps treat digestive ulcers when taken in conjunction with antibiotics. It is also used to treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This drug improves ulcers in the stomach and duodenum and is effective in alleviating symptoms of gastrointestinal diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

For gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer: Typically, it is taken orally once daily at 10 mg, and based on symptoms, it may be increased to 20 mg once daily. Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients with certain allergic reactions or hypersensitivity. It is safer for pregnant or breastfeeding women to avoid taking this medication. Patients with impaired liver function or the elderly should be particularly cautious when using this medication. If any allergic symptoms such as skin rash or itching occur during treatment with this drug, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. It is important to undergo regular blood tests and liver function tests to check for abnormalities. Long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures. This drug may reduce gastric acid which can increase bacteria in the stomach, so if diarrhea persists, consult healthcare professionals. It may cause drowsiness while driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. Interactions with other drugs can occur, so be sure to inform your doctor of any medications you are currently taking. Particularly, caution is needed when taken together with certain antibiotics or antiviral medications. Do not chew or crush the tablets; swallow them whole. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to other containers. There is no specific antidote for overdose, but appropriate treatment should be given based on symptoms.
