View approved original text

This medication is effective as an adjunct to dietary therapy to lower elevated triglyceride levels in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia, specifically hypertriglyceridemia (Type IV). It can also be used in combination with statins in cases of combined hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (Type IIb). Particularly, in cases where triglyceride levels are not adequately controlled, it can be expected to show further improvement when used in conjunction with statins. This medication is useful in treating various types of dyslipidemia and helps to regulate blood lipid levels within the normal range.
