Therefore, it is effectively used for the early treatment of recurrent labial herpes.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply an appropriate amount that can be sufficiently applied up to the edges of the affected area, 5 times a day for 5 days. Treatment should be started as soon as initial symptoms or signs appear.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with certain infectious diseases, such as bacterial infections like tuberculosis or syphilis, fungal infections such as candidiasis or tinea, and viral infections like herpes zoster or chickenpox, as it may worsen symptoms. Additionally, individuals who have had allergies or hypersensitivity reactions to this medication or its components, patients with severely compromised immune systems, patients with external otitis who have tympanic membrane perforation, patients with ulcers or severe burns, frostbite patients, and those with perioral dermatitis or common acne, and rosacea should avoid use.
