How to take

Adult dose

The usual dosage for adults is 1 tablet once a day containing 50 mg of losartan potassium/12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide. Precautions

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid this medication, especially during breastfeeding as it may affect the baby, and should consult with a physician before making a decision. The safety of this drug in children and adolescents has not been established, thus it is not used in these populations. Regular blood tests to monitor kidney function and electrolyte status are necessary while taking this medication. Abdominal pain, swelling/edema, palpitations, back pain, dizziness, cough, sinusitis, upper respiratory infection, fatigue/weakness, diarrhea, nausea, headache, bronchitis, pharyngitis, chest pain, facial swelling, fever, orthostatic hypotension, fainting, angina, arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation, sinus bradycardia, tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation), cerebrovascular accident, hypotension, myocardial infarction, secondary AV block, anorexia, constipation, toothache, dry mouth, dyspepsia, flatulence, gastritis, vomiting
