View approved original text

This medication helps to control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. It is also used to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and mortality from cardiovascular diseases in patients aged over 55 who are at high risk of cardiovascular events. It is particularly effective in patients with a history of coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, stroke, or transient ischemic attack, as well as those with high-risk diabetes. This medication is administered as an alternative when ACE inhibitors cannot be used and helps to improve the patient’s cardiovascular health. Therefore, it is actively used for essential hypertension and reducing cardiovascular risks.
