Treatment of peripheral arterial circulation disorders (intermittent claudication) and brain function disorders (tinnitus, headache)
This medication is used to treat symptoms of intermittent claudication due to peripheral arterial circulation disorders. Additionally, it helps relieve dizziness and vascular, degenerative tinnitus (ringing in the ears). It is effective in treating brain function disorders accompanied by dementia symptoms such as memory decline, concentration difficulties, and depressive moods. Overall, it is used to improve blood circulation and enhance brain and peripheral nerve function to alleviate symptoms.
For peripheral arterial circulation disorders, dizziness, and tinnitus (ringing in the ears): take Ginkgo Leaf Dry Extract 40 milligrams once, three times a day, or 80 milligrams once, two times a day orally. For organic brain function disorders: take Ginkgo Leaf Dry Extract 40-80 milligrams once, three times a day, or 120 milligrams once, two times a day orally. Dosage may be adjusted appropriately according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be taken by those with specific allergies. It is safe not to use this medication for children under 12 years of age due to insufficient experience. Pregnant women should consult with a healthcare professional before taking this medication, as animal studies showed no teratogenic effects, but adequate data on humans is lacking. Furthermore, patients with genetic conditions that inhibit lactose breakdown should not take this medication. Patients with bleeding disorders or those taking medications that increase the risk of bleeding should consult with a physician or pharmacist before using this medication. Breastfeeding women should also consult a professional since it is uncertain whether this medication is passed to breast milk. Individuals scheduled for surgery should discontinue this medication and consult with healthcare providers. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after three months of taking this medication, it should be stopped immediately, and a consultation is necessary. Rarely, side effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, and allergic skin reactions may occur while taking this medication. Symptoms like dizziness or itching have also been reported, so consultation with a professional is advised if such unusual symptoms occur. Severe allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis, may also occur, so caution is required. This medication is not an antihypertensive agent, so it is best not to use it if a hypertension patient requires specific treatment. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
