Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension
Used to effectively manage blood pressure in cases where blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled by monotherapy with Telmisartan or Amlodipine.
The recommended dose for adults is one tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time daily (e.g., in the morning). Patients with renal impairment: Start treatment at a lower dose and gradually increase in patients with severe renal impairment. Patients with liver impairment: For mild or moderate liver impairment, the daily dose should not exceed 40 mg. Elderly patients: For patients aged 75 and above.
Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years have not been established, therefore the administration of this drug is not recommended.
This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus. Do not use in persons allergic to any components included in this medication or similar substances, in pregnant or potentially pregnant women, in nursing women, in patients with severe liver or heart problems, in patients with hypotension or in shock, etc. Caution should be taken when administering this medication to patients with poor liver function or biliary obstruction, as its metabolism may be slowed down. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases should use this medication with caution, as gastrointestinal bleeding and other complications may occur during treatment. Patients with kidney issues or abnormalities in renal blood vessels may experience hypotension or worsening kidney function, necessitating regular monitoring. Elderly patients may exhibit stronger effects from this medication, thus dosage adjustments should be handled carefully. This medication lowers blood pressure; therefore, when starting treatment or changing dosage, care should be taken for symptoms of hypotension, and dizziness or drowsiness may occur, requiring caution when driving or operating machinery. Potassium levels may increase while taking this medication, so regular monitoring of serum potassium levels is necessary when used in conjunction with potassium-containing medications or supplements. Patients with heart disease need to be careful, as there may be an increased risk of angina or myocardial infarction following administration of this medication. There may be interactions with other medications, especially when taken with digoxin, lithium, warfarin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), simvastatin, tacrolimus, etc.; consult your doctor or pharmacist in such cases. Overdose may result in symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, arrhythmia, and renal failure, necessitating an immediate visit to a healthcare facility, where treatment should be based on symptoms. The safety and efficacy of this medication in children have not been fully established; therefore, it is advisable not to use it in this population.
