This medication is used to effectively control the blood pressure of patients with essential hypertension who do not have adequate control with monotherapy with amlodipine or telmisartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage for adults is one tablet once daily, taken with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). In patients with renal impairment: no dosage adjustment is necessary for mild or moderate renal impairment; however, in severe renal impairment, it is recommended to start treatment with a lower dosage, gradually increasing it. In patients with liver impairment: mild or moderate liver impairment.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in pediatric patients under the age of 18, so its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This drug can pose a serious risk to the fetus, especially during the second and third trimesters, so if pregnancy is confirmed, the drug must be discontinued immediately. Patients with allergies to the components of this drug or similar drugs, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, and patients with severe liver or heart problems should not take this medication. Patients with impaired liver function, gastrointestinal diseases, kidney problems, and the elderly should use this medication with caution and adjust the dosage according to a doctor's instructions if necessary. Side effects such as dizziness or edema may commonly occur with this medication, and more serious side effects may occur in rare cases; therefore, if symptoms are severe, consult a healthcare professional immediately. There is a risk of blood pressure dropping too low or potassium levels increasing, so patients with impaired kidney function should regularly check their condition through blood tests. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if you are taking other medications, be sure to inform your doctor or pharmacist, and it is advisable to avoid taking it with grapefruit juice. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should not take this medication; if pregnancy is confirmed, discontinue use immediately and discuss alternative treatment options. This medication is not recommended for children as its safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established in pediatric patients. The elderly may be more sensitive to this drug, starting with a lower dose and gradually increasing it is safer.
