Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with allergies to this medication's active ingredients or similar substances, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, patients with severe liver impairment, aortic stenosis, bile duct obstruction, renal dialysis, patients in shock, and specific diabetic patients should not take this medication. When initially administering this medication to patients with depleted fluid or salt, hypotension may occur, so close monitoring is required, and appropriate measures should be taken if hypotension develops. Additionally, rapid vasodilation may cause hypotension; therefore, caution is needed when administering it to patients with aortic stenosis, severe obstructive coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and those with reduced kidney function. During treatment, various side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, edema, dyspepsia, and rash may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms arise, patients should consult with their doctor. For those breastfeeding, this medication may transfer to breast milk and affect infants, so it is advisable to either stop breastfeeding or discontinue the medication. Safety and efficacy for children under 18 years have not been established and are not recommended. Elderly patients should have their dose adjusted considering decreased kidney and liver function, and starting with a low dose is advisable. In cases of overdose, hypotension and cardiac dysfunction may appear, requiring urgent treatment at a hospital. Store this medication in a tightly sealed container, protected from direct sunlight and moisture, out of reach of children.
