Chronic persistent hepatitis, characterized by continuously elevated SGPT levels, refers to a state of ongoing inflammation and damage to liver cells. This condition can progressively reduce liver function, necessitating appropriate treatment and management. The medication helps alleviate inflammation in liver cells and improve liver function. Treatment can help maintain liver health and slow disease progression. It is used for chronic persistent hepatitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, 1 capsule is administered orally 3 times a day after meals for adults.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete bile duct obstruction. It contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with genetically determined galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Patients with chronic active hepatitis or liver cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disease, peptic ulcers, and gallstones should use it cautiously. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occasionally occur while taking this medication, and rarely, abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, or upper abdominal discomfort may be experienced as well. Additionally, allergic reactions such as itching or rash may occasionally occur, usually resolving with the use of antihistamines. Transient jaundice may appear; however, if this occurs, discontinuing the medication or using jaundice treatment can improve symptoms. Rarely, systemic fatigue or dizziness may occur. If symptoms do not improve after prolonged use, or if there are abnormal symptoms, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. It is important to keep this medication out of reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid using this medication as it may harm the fetus.
