This medication is used for the treatment of essential hypertension in patients for whom blood pressure control is difficult with monotherapy using a combination of Olmesartan Medoxomil and Amlodipine. Additionally, Rosuvastatin assists in the management of various types of hyperlipidemia that cannot be controlled by diet and exercise alone, and is particularly used as an adjunct in patients with familial hypercholesterolemia or dysbetalipoproteinemia. This drug helps to lower LDL cholesterol levels in patients with high cholesterol, slows the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It reduces the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and complications after angioplasty in addition to controlling blood pressure and cholesterol. Overall, this medication is used to improve cardiovascular health by managing blood pressure and lipids simultaneously.
