Antipyretic effect for fever due to acute upper respiratory tract infection
This medication is used to effectively reduce fever caused by acute upper respiratory tract infections.
For children over 6 months of age, the dosage is 0.4-0.6mL/kg (5-7mg/kg as dexibuprofen) per dose every 4 to 6 hours as needed, not exceeding 4 times per day (28mg/kg).
This medication can increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who often consume more than 3 drinks a day. Therefore, it is essential to consult a physician or pharmacist before use. It may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, so individuals with a history of heart disease or stroke or those with risk factors need to use it cautiously. As this medication may cause ulcers or bleeding in the stomach, individuals with a history of gastrointestinal conditions should consider this carefully before use. It is recommended for individuals with peptic ulcers, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe hypertension, asthma history, etc., not to take this medication. During the use of this medication, regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests should be conducted, and any unusual symptoms should be reported to a physician immediately. Caution is advised as combining this medication with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or aspirin may increase the risk of side effects. Pregnant women, especially in the late term, should avoid taking this medication as it may affect the fetus. Breastfeeding women should discontinue breastfeeding or stop using this medication as it can be transmitted to the breast milk and affect the infant. Children and older adults are more likely to experience adverse reactions, so they should take the minimum dosage cautiously. If any unusual symptoms such as skin rash, difficulty breathing, severe headaches, abdominal pain, or bleeding occur while taking this medication, it is essential to stop taking it immediately and inform a physician. When storing the medication, keep it out of reach of children, and avoid transferring it to other containers.
