Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with cardiogenic shock. Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding should also avoid taking this medication. Additionally, the safety of this medication has not been established in children, thus it should not be administered to them. Patients with lactose intolerance or certain metabolic disorders should avoid this drug due to the lactose contained in it. Patients with excessively low blood pressure, severe liver dysfunction, and the elderly should use this medication cautiously and be closely monitored. During use, abnormalities in liver function, kidney function changes, blood abnormalities, cardiovascular symptoms, neurological symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, and hypersensitivity reactions may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms appear, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. As this drug is a calcium channel blocker, abrupt discontinuation may worsen symptoms, thus it should be tapered according to physician instructions, and use should not be stopped arbitrarily. Because there is a risk of temporarily losing consciousness due to excessively low blood pressure, immediate action should be taken if such symptoms occur. Care should be taken when driving or operating hazardous machinery due to dizziness and other symptoms. The effect may be intensified when used concurrently with other antihypertensives, and when taken with certain medications or grapefruit juice, blood pressure may drop excessively, so it is important to inform healthcare professionals when taking together. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should ideally avoid this medication, and if unavoidable, nursing should be discontinued during use. Elderly patients should start with a low dose and monitor their condition closely during treatment. In case of overdose, blood pressure may drop severely, therefore appropriate treatment should be sought immediately at a hospital, and this drug is not removed by dialysis. Tablets should be used as directed by a physician, and if divided, should be taken as soon as possible.
