It also improves abdominal discomfort due to irritable bowel syndrome and spastic colon, and it is used in children to treat habitual vomiting and non-infectious intestinal passage obstructions, including constipation and diarrhea. Overall, it is effective in improving abnormal symptoms of the stomach and intestines.

How to take

Adult dose

As Trimebutine Maleate, take 100-200 mg orally three times a day before meals. Adjust as appropriate according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose, so individuals with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. While taking this medication, rare gastrointestinal symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, abdominal sounds, nausea, vomiting, digestive disorders, dryness of the mouth, and numbness in the mouth may occur. Additionally, cardiovascular symptoms like palpitations may be experienced rarely. Caution should be taken as neuropsychiatric symptoms such as fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headaches may also arise.
