This medication is used for digestive dysfunctions caused by aerophagia and bloating, such as bloating-related dyspepsia, nervous gastrointestinal disorders, and irritable bowel syndrome. It also helps in the elimination of intestinal gas during X-ray examinations and is effective in treating digestive dysfunctions related to postoperative bloating. Overall, it is used to alleviate symptoms associated with gastrointestinal gas issues and improve digestive function.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Take 1 capsule before meals, 3 times a day. To eliminate intestinal gas before X-ray examinations, take 1 capsule 2 hours prior to the examination.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, gastrointestinal obstruction, or perforation. It is also advisable to avoid administering it to patients with tardive dyskinesia taking muscle relaxants. Extreme caution should be exercised when using this medication in elderly patients, and those allergic or sensitive to the colorant Yellow No. 5 should be careful as well. This drug may occasionally cause neurological symptoms such as drowsiness, anxiety, insomnia, numbness of the lips or tongue, and numbness of the limbs, in which case discontinuation of the medication is necessary. Symptoms of stiffness in the oral or neck muscles may rarely occur, thus caution is advisable. Gastrointestinal side effects may include constipation, nausea, dry mouth, decreased appetite, hunger, and diarrhea. Allergic reactions such as rashes, itching, and hives may occur, and should the patient experience such symptoms, the medication should be discontinued. In women, rare endocrine side effects such as increased lactation or menstrual irregularities may occur, and in men, erectile dysfunction may be reported. Other symptoms may include fatigue, lethargy, and photophobia. When taken together with other medications, it may enhance or diminish the effects of central nervous system-affecting drugs, so it is essential to consult a physician or pharmacist. In particular, concomitant use with alcohol, anxiolytics, sedatives, and narcotic analgesics may intensify sedative effects, thus exercising caution is necessary. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently established for children, so its use is not recommended in this age group.
