Used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with Telmisartan or Amlodipine.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose for adults is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). If blood pressure control is inadequate, it can be administered as follows based on individual component dosing: - 40/5 mg: To be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not controlled by Amlodipine 5 mg or Telmisartan 40 mg. - 80/5 mg.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy have not been established for pediatric patients under 18 years old, so administration of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken during pregnancy, especially during the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious problems for the fetus. Patients who are allergic to the main ingredients of this medication, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those with severe liver or heart issues should not take this medication. Patients with liver or kidney dysfunction, those with heart valve issues, and elderly patients should be particularly cautious when using this medication and must follow their doctor's guidance. Side effects such as dizziness, swelling, and hypotension may occur, so if any symptoms appear, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. There may be cases of excessively low blood pressure, so if severe symptoms occur after taking the medication, lying down or receiving treatment in a hospital may be necessary. This medication can interact with other drugs, so patients taking other medications must inform their doctor or pharmacist. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should receive treatment with a different safe antihypertensive medication, and must stop taking this medication immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. This medication is not recommended for breastfeeding women; thus, consultation is essential before taking it while breastfeeding. It is advisable not to use this medication in children and adolescents under the age of 18, as safety and efficacy have not been adequately established. Elderly individuals may be more sensitive to this medication, thus starting with a low dose and gradually increasing the dosage is recommended. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension, dizziness, and cardiac abnormalities may occur, requiring immediate emergency treatment; self-treatment should be avoided. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children and should be taken immediately after opening the package; transferring it to another container is not recommended.

Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, angioedema, toxic skin rash, drug rash, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, photosensitivity reactions, difficulty or shortness of breath, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), extreme fatigue, hepatitis, jaundice.
