This medication is used to treat epithelial damage in the conjunctiva caused by endogenous diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous diseases caused by postoperative conditions, drug side effects, trauma, or contact lens wear.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

0.1%, 0.3% preparation: instill 1 drop at a time, 5 to 6 times a day. Adjust according to symptoms. Usually, the 0.1% preparation is administered, and if it is insufficient in severe cases, the 0.3% preparation is given.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by those with allergies to protein-based drugs or its ingredients. Symptoms such as itching, irritation, redness, conjunctivitis, corneal problems, foreign body sensation, discharge, and pain may occur; if these symptoms arise, use should be stopped immediately, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Rarely, eyelid inflammation or dermatitis may also occur; if symptoms appear, the use of this medication should be stopped, and treatment should be provided. When using with other eye drops, adverse reactions may occur more frequently, so it is recommended to use this medication at least 30 minutes after other eye drops. This medication should only be used for direct instillation into the eye, and care must be taken to ensure that the tip of the container does not touch the eyelid or eyelashes. If the tip of the container comes into contact with the eyelid or eyelashes, the medication can become contaminated, so it must be handled cleanly, and contaminated or turbid solutions should not be used. Do not use this medication while wearing soft contact lenses, and at least 15 minutes should pass after using this medication before inserting lenses. Single-use products should be used immediately after opening, and any remaining solution should be discarded, with the first 1-2 drops discarded without instillation. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool place. To maintain quality, do not transfer to another container, and it is safer to avoid sharing whenever possible.
