How to take

Adult dose

The dosage should be adjusted based on the patient's pain level and treatment response. It is recommended to take an initial dose of 2 tablets, and the interval for subsequent doses should be at least 12 hours apart, not exceeding 8 tablets in one day. For long-term use, regular monitoring should be conducted to assess the need for ongoing administration of this medication. During administration, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, itching, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, etc. may occur.

Precautions

This medication can impose a burden on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. The acetaminophen component can rarely cause serious skin rashes or allergic reactions; if a rash or other hypersensitivity symptoms appear, stop taking the medication immediately. The tramadol component may increase the risk of seizures if the recommended dosage is exceeded, and the risk may be higher if used with certain antidepressants or other narcotic analgesics. During the course of taking this medication, there is a rare risk of life-threatening severe allergic reactions, so any unusual symptoms should be reported to medical personnel immediately. Patients with severe bronchial asthma may find it difficult to breathe while taking this medication, so it should be administered in a facility equipped with professional equipment. Taking this medication along with alcohol or central nervous system depressants can lead to severe drowsiness, respiratory depression, and coma; it is advisable to avoid such combinations. Patients with head injuries or elevated intracranial pressure should be cautious as this medication may exacerbate symptoms due to its respiratory depression effects. This medication can cause psychological and physical dependence; thus, it should be taken under the guidance of a physician during long-term use, and sudden discontinuation may lead to withdrawal symptoms. Patients with poor liver function should consult a physician before taking this medication, as overdose of the acetaminophen component may cause liver damage. Patients with a fast-acting CYP2D6 enzyme phenotype may experience excessive effects from the active ingredient, increasing the risk of respiratory depression; caution is required. It is unsafe to administer this medication to children under 12 years of age or adolescents under 18 who have undergone certain surgeries. During treatment, there may be a decrease in sodium concentration in the blood known as hyponatremia; elderly patients or those with risk factors should closely monitor for symptoms. Before taking this medication, be sure to inform your doctor about any history of allergies, liver or kidney disease, or seizures, as care should be taken in those cases. Drowsiness or dizziness may occur when driving or operating machinery; caution is needed. In case of overdose, serious respiratory depression or liver damage may occur, so strict adherence to dosage is essential, and immediate emergency treatment is required if overdose is suspected.
