Adult dose

Take 5 mg orally once a day, regardless of meals. Even if symptoms improve, a minimum treatment duration of 6 months is required.

This medication should not be used by children or women, particularly those who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid touching broken pieces of this drug. There have been reports of male breast cancer associated with long-term use of this medication, but a direct correlation is still not clear. Due to the possibility of increased risk of prostate cancer, especially men over 55 should undergo regular examinations and carefully observe PSA levels. This medication has minimal interactions with other drugs, but it is advisable to inform medical personnel about any medications being taken. Pregnant and nursing women should not take this medication, as it may affect male fetuses if taken during pregnancy, requiring special caution. The safety and efficacy in children have not been established; therefore, this medication is not administered to children. Elderly patients can use this medication without specific dosage adjustments, but they should follow healthcare providers’ instructions based on their physical condition. This medication may reduce prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels; therefore, this should be taken into consideration when interpreting PSA test results. There is no specific treatment for overdose, but it is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and it is best not to transfer it to another container.
