Precautions

This medication contains R-α-Lipoic Acid Tromethamine Salt, and it should not be administered to patients who are hypersensitive to this ingredient or other excipients. While taking this medication, various adverse reactions such as sensory abnormalities, pain, headache, constipation, and dry mouth may occur, so caution is advised. Severe adverse reactions such as nephrolithiasis or facial edema have also been reported in some patients. Patients who consume alcohol frequently may experience reduced therapeutic effects of this medication; therefore, it is advisable to avoid alcohol consumption whenever possible. This is especially important for patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, as they should refrain from alcohol not only during medication but also during drug-free periods. This medication may form insoluble complexes when taken simultaneously with iron, magnesium, calcium-containing preparations, or dairy products, so these should not be taken together, and an interval should be maintained between doses. Additionally, taking this medication along with insulin or other oral diabetes medications may increase blood sugar-lowering effects, so blood glucose levels should be monitored frequently and medication dosages adjusted as needed. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should take this medication cautiously under medical advice, and it is not recommended for children under 18 years due to lack of usage experience. In case of overdose, severe poisoning symptoms and life-threatening conditions may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention. When storing, avoid high temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius, keep it out of reach of children, and avoid transferring to other containers as this may affect quality.
