Precautions

This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as the ingredients may cause uterine contractions or affect the pelvic organs, increasing the risk of miscarriage or preterm birth. Additionally, breastfeeding women should also avoid taking this medication, as the ingredients may transfer to breast milk and cause diarrhea in infants, necessitating avoidance or cessation of breastfeeding during use. This medication contains lactose; therefore, individuals with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should avoid it, as they may not properly digest or absorb its components. It is advisable not to use other antidiarrheal medications while taking this. Combining them could exacerbate side effects. Those with hypertension, heart or kidney diseases, edema, elderly individuals, those taking other medications, experiencing diarrhea or loose stools, having a weak stomach, suffering from loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting, having low physical strength, excessive sweating, a history of heart disease, suffering from urination disorders or hyperthyroidism, having experienced allergic reactions to this medication, or diabetic patients should consult a professional before taking this drug. If swelling of the face or hands and feet occurs, along with elevated blood pressure, headaches, muscle weakness, or limb cramps while using this medication, one should immediately stop use and consult a professional. Additionally, if symptoms such as loss of appetite, gastric discomfort, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, skin rash, insomnia, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat, urination disorders, or hepatic dysfunction appear, discontinuation and professional consultation are necessary. When using this for constipation treatment, if symptoms do not improve after one week, stop taking the medication and consult a professional. The principle is not to take this medication for a long duration. If long-term use is unavoidable, seek professional advice. Stimulant laxatives may lose effectiveness and worsen constipation with prolonged use, so it is recommended not to continue taking it for over one week. It is essential to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and administration as the effectiveness of the rhubarb component may vary among individuals, so caution is warranted. When taking other herbal medicines, ensure that the same ingredients are not duplicated, especially when taking other products containing rhubarb. Taking this with ma huang, ephedrine, MAO inhibitors, thyroid preparations, catecholamine medications, or xanthines can lead to symptoms such as insomnia, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat, palpitations, general weakness, and mental agitation, so dosage adjustments and careful consumption are necessary. Taking this with potassium supplements, licorice-containing medications, or certain diuretics might increase the risk of hypokalemia or myopathy, so caution is needed. Store this medication in a tightly sealed container to prevent air and moisture infiltration, ideally at a temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keeping it in this manner can help maintain its efficacy for an extended period.
