This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy, as well as for patients with hyperlipidemia who require concomitant administration of rosuvastatin calcium. The telmisartan/amlodipine combination helps in controlling blood pressure in essential hypertension, while rosuvastatin, combined with dietary therapy, reduces cholesterol levels and delays the progression of atherosclerosis in lipid disorders such as primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia. Additionally, it contributes to reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and vascular reconstruction in patients with high cardiovascular risk. Therefore, this medication improves cardiovascular health by managing both hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
