This medication should not be administered to certain patients. Patients with allergies to this medication or its components, or those who have experienced hypersensitivity reactions, should not take it. Patients for whom gastrointestinal stimulation could be harmful, such as those with gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical bowel obstruction, or perforation, should also avoid this drug. Additionally, since this medication contains lactose, patients with genetic issues such as lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should refrain from taking it. Severe allergic reactions may occur during administration of this drug, so if symptoms such as low blood pressure, breathing difficulties, or hives appear, the administration should be immediately stopped and medical consultation should be sought. Since liver function abnormalities may occur, regular liver function tests should be conducted, and if any abnormal symptoms arise, administration should be discontinued. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain may appear, as well as neurological symptoms like headache, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and dizziness. Blood abnormalities such as gynecomastia, increased prolactin levels, reduced platelets, and leukopenia may also occur, so regular blood tests are necessary. This medication enhances acetylcholine actions, so if taken with anticholinergics, the effect may be reduced, requiring care in adjusting the dosing interval. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this drug only when the benefit outweighs the risk, as its safety has not been established, and breastfeeding women should either avoid taking it or stop breastfeeding. Safety for pediatric patients has not been sufficiently confirmed, and elderly patients have a higher risk of experiencing adverse reactions due to decreased bodily function, hence should be observed more carefully during administration. Lastly, this medication should be kept out of reach of children, and caution should be taken not to transfer it to other containers as it may negatively affect quality.
