This medication helps improve symptoms such as gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, and heartburn, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and belching due to excess stomach acid. It protects the gastric mucosa by neutralizing excessive stomach acid through its antacid action and alleviates discomfort. It reduces pain and discomfort caused by gastrointestinal diseases, helping patients have a more comfortable daily life. Therefore, it is effectively used to improve various gastrointestinal symptoms and diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 1 g of Almagate 3 times a day, 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals, chewed orally. An additional dose may be taken before bedtime if necessary.

Child dose

For children over 12 years of age, take 1 g of Almagate 3 times a day, 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals, chewed orally. An additional dose may be taken before bedtime if necessary.

Precautions

Do not take this medication if you are allergic to this drug or any of its ingredients. Patients with Alzheimer’s disease, hemorrhoids, edema, pregnancy-induced hypertension, diarrhea, or unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding should not take this medication. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or hereditary lactose metabolism disorders should not take it. It is advisable not to take this medication along with tetracycline antibiotics, as it may interfere with their absorption. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medications, as this drug may affect the absorption or excretion of other drugs. In particular, it is recommended to take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcer medications, digitalis, chlorpromazine, lansoprazole, prednisolone, penicillin, quinolone, iron preparations, etc., at intervals of 2 to 3 hours. Patients with poor kidney function should be cautious as the components of this medication may accumulate in the body. Individuals with weakened bodies or low phosphate intake, and those with malabsorption disorders should be aware that this medication may interfere with phosphate absorption, potentially affecting bone health with prolonged use. Elderly individuals, those with symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, and nursing mothers should consult a professional before taking this medication. If constipation or diarrhea develops during use, or if symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a professional. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, and when administering to children, supervision by a guardian is required. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, kept in its original container, and protected from direct sunlight, stored in a cool and dry place.
