Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to benzalkonium chloride. When using this medication, transient sensations such as irritation, burning, pain, conjunctival hyperemia, conjunctival edema, and eyelid inflammation may occur. Rarely, conjunctivitis or hypersensitivity reactions may occur, so caution is advised. It is advisable to avoid wearing soft contact lenses during treatment. Even if symptoms improve, the medication should be continued as long as exposure to the allergenic substance persists. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if its therapeutic benefits are considered to outweigh risks. In animal studies, harmful effects on the fetus have been reported. This medication is for ocular use only, and care should be taken to avoid direct contact between the container tip and the eye during administration. Avoid shared use due to the risk of contamination. If the medication gets on the skin around the eyes, it should be wiped off immediately. It is safe not to use any remaining medication after 1 month from opening. The medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
