Treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin diseases (eczema, contact dermatitis, etc.) and first-degree burns
This medication is used for allergic or inflammatory skin diseases with secondary infections. This includes eczema, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, photosensitivity dermatitis, chronic simple lichen, skin abrasion, exfoliative dermatitis, itching, and psoriasis. It is also used for treating first-degree burns to alleviate skin damage and assist in recovery. This drug effectively helps improve these skin problems.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to 3 times a day.
This medication should not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals, as it may worsen symptoms. Individuals with allergic reactions or a history of hypersensitivity to this medication or any of its components should avoid use. Patients with otitis externa who have a perforated eardrum should be cautious, as using this medication may delay wound healing. It is advisable not to use this medication in patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as skin regeneration may be inhibited, leading to delayed treatment. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea should avoid using this medication. Caution should be taken for patients allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin, as cross-reactivity may occur. Patients with hypersensitivity or a history of allergies to propylene glycol should use this medication cautiously. Pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, and children should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. If any abnormal symptoms such as signs of skin infection or irritation, rash, itching, redness, skin dryness, or pustular dermatitis develop during use, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a specialist should be consulted. Long-term or extensive use may lead to side effects such as skin atrophy, telangiectasia, or steroid-induced acne; therefore, the dosage should be gradually reduced or switched to another medication if necessary. Due to the corticosteroid component, systemic absorption may cause side effects such as hormonal suppression, Cushing's syndrome, and hyperglycemia, so regular checking is needed. The treatment period varies depending on symptoms and the affected area; however, if symptoms do not improve after 3-4 weeks, other conditions should be suspected and use should be stopped. Once symptoms improve, it is advisable to discontinue use as soon as possible. Avoid massive use, long-term use, and occlusive dressing methods; if hypersensitivity reactions occur, stop immediately. Particularly in patients with impaired kidney function or vestibular dysfunction, caution is necessary when using this medication. Pregnant or nursing mothers should consult a specialist before using this medication, as it may affect the fetus or infant. Children may absorb more medication relative to their weight, increasing the risk of side effects; therefore, only the minimum dose should be used under adult supervision. Occlusive dressing methods should only be used under physician guidance due to the high risk of infection, and should not be used for purposes other than treatment. This medication should not be used ophthalmically or for non-treatment purposes such as cosmetics or after shaving; it is safer to avoid these uses altogether. Keep out of reach of children, and store in the original container sealed to maintain the medication's safety and efficacy.
Severe allergic reactions (redness, swelling, papules, vesicles), severe skin adverse reactions (severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain of mouth/eye mucous membranes), breathing problems (difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory issues with cough and fever), liver problems (jaundice of skin or eyes, generalized fatigue), serious neurological symptoms (sudden and severe headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis), severe swelling.
