Inhibitory effect on thrombus formation and reduction of cardiovascular risk
This medication improves symptoms by inhibiting thrombus formation in cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, and unstable angina. Additionally, it helps prevent thrombus formation after coronary artery bypass grafting or percutaneous coronary intervention, aiding in recovery. It is also used for reducing cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients with multiple risk factors such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes. Thus, this medication plays a critical role in preventing thrombus formation and maintaining cardiovascular health.
(Enteric-coated tablet) Adults take 1 tablet once daily before meals with plenty of water. (Enteric-coated capsule) Adults take 1 capsule once daily before meals with plenty of water.
This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks daily, so it is essential to consult a physician or pharmacist. This medication should not be used by certain patients, such as those allergic to this drug or other salicylates, individuals with peptic ulcers, those with a history of aspirin-induced asthma, patients with hemophilia, patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, patients with severe heart failure, individuals with a tendency to bleed, those taking high doses of methotrexate, and pregnant women in the third trimester. This medication should be administered cautiously to individuals with kidney disorders, liver diseases, cardiac dysfunction, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, patients before surgery, children under three years old, patients with a history of allergies, the elderly, patients taking anticoagulants, and patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. This medication can rarely cause severe allergic reactions, skin rashes, blood disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver dysfunction, kidney impairment, etc. If any abnormal symptoms occur, the patient should stop taking the medication immediately and consult healthcare professionals. This medication can cause Reye's syndrome in children with chickenpox or influenza, so it should be used cautiously and only when necessary, with close monitoring of the patient's condition after use. This medication is used for symptomatic treatment of pain and fever, and regular blood tests and liver function tests are required with long-term use. During treatment, the patient's condition should be closely monitored, and any adverse reactions should be reported to healthcare professionals promptly. This medication may mask infections, so caution should be exercised in suspected cases of infections, and appropriate antimicrobial treatment should accompany its use. Elderly patients and children should start with the minimal effective dose and be particularly cautious of side effects. Taking this medication within a week before surgery may increase bleeding risk, so inform the healthcare provider if surgery is planned. Overdosing on this medication can lead to severe toxicity, so the prescribed dosage must be strictly adhered to. When used for treating cardiovascular diseases or other purposes, consultation with a physician or pharmacist is necessary, as self-medication can be risky. Following administration, there may be a temporary antiplatelet effect that increases the bleeding risk; therefore, caution is necessary during dental or other surgical procedures. This medication inhibits platelet function and may increase the risk of bleeding, so if symptoms like nosebleeds, gum bleeding, or blood in stools occur, consult healthcare professionals immediately. Low-dose administration may trigger gout attacks in patients with gout, necessitating caution. Concurrent use of this medication with certain nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may reduce its antiplatelet effect, so consult a physician. This medication can rarely cause eosinophilia and systemic symptoms associated with drug reactions (DRESS syndrome); if symptoms such as rash, fever, or lymph node swelling occur, stop taking the medication immediately. When taken alongside anticoagulants, thrombolytics, antidiabetic medications, etc., this medication may increase the risk of bleeding, requiring careful dosage adjustment and monitoring. Interactions with some medications may reduce the efficacy of this medication or enhance side effects, so individuals taking other medications should consult with healthcare professionals. In early and mid-pregnancy, this medication should be administered at minimal doses only when necessary, and it should never be taken in late pregnancy due to the risk of severe side effects for the fetus and mother. This medication is excreted in breast milk, so it is advisable not to take it during breastfeeding. Elderly patients have a higher risk of side effects, so they should start with small doses and monitor their condition closely. For enteric-coated formulations, care should be taken not to damage the enteric coating, and it is best not to take them with alkaline preparations.
