Adult dose

For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with Telmisartan, it should be taken once daily with a beverage, regardless of meal. Before switching to this fixed-dose combination, it is recommended to individually adjust the dosage of each component. - The Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combination 40/12.5 mg can be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with 40 mg of Telmisartan.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years of age, thus it should not be administered.

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus. Patients with allergies to any of the ingredients contained in this medication or those with certain liver or kidney diseases should not take it. Elderly patients, patients with abnormal potassium levels in the blood, and those with impaired liver function should use this medication with caution. While taking this medication, caution is needed as side effects such as dizziness, hypotension, and electrolyte imbalances may occur. Particularly, the risk of skin cancer may increase, so it is necessary to avoid sun exposure and regularly check the condition of the skin. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication, and those planning to become pregnant should also consult a doctor beforehand. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, electrolyte imbalances, and dehydration may occur, and immediate contact with a medical institution is required. This medication is not recommended for children under 18, as its safety and efficacy have not been established. During treatment, one should be cautious while driving or operating hazardous machinery as dizziness or drowsiness may occur.
