This medication is used to treat constipation. It also helps relieve symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and hemorrhoids that can occur due to constipation. Thus, it promotes smooth bowel movements and improves discomfort in the stomach and intestines.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and above: Take 1 to 2 tablets once, 3 times a day after meals. The interval between doses should be at least 4 hours. Start with the minimum dose and adjust gradually based on the shape and condition of the stool.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with acute abdominal conditions or bowel obstruction. Additionally, since it contains lactose, individuals with hereditary issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should avoid taking it. It is advisable not to take this medication within 1 hour after consuming antacids or milk. Patients experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting symptoms, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, those taking other medications, individuals on a sodium-restricted diet, or those with a history of rectal bleeding or bowel failure should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Individuals who are allergic to Yellow No. 4 (Tartrazine) included in this medication should also take it with caution. If a rash, skin redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, or cramping occurs during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Also, if constipation does not improve after about a week of taking this medication, stop and discuss with a doctor. This medication should be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and children under 10 years of age should generally avoid taking it unless under special circumstances. When taking the medication, do not chew the tablet; swallow it whole. Long-term use may lead to tolerance to the medication and worsening of constipation, so it should not be used continuously for more than 1 week. If daily use of laxatives is needed, the cause of constipation must be investigated. Finally, this medication should be stored out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. It is also important not to transfer the medication to another container to preserve quality and prevent misuse.
