This eye drop and ointment are effective medications for various bacterial infections, including Staphylococcus aureus, coagulase-negative staphylococcus, streptococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, and others. This medication is primarily used to treat inflammation and infections around the eyes, such as blepharitis, dacryocystitis, styes, conjunctivitis, keratitis, and corneal ulcers. When used properly according to a doctor's prescription, it can help alleviate symptoms and treat infections.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

For mild to moderate infections, instill 1 to 2 drops into the infected area every 4 hours. For severe infections, instill 2 drops every hour until symptoms improve, then gradually reduce the dosage. Adjust according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication is an aminoglycoside antibiotic and should not be used in patients allergic to certain antibiotics or this medication.
