Treatment of inflammatory diseases of the external and anterior eye (such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, etc.)
This medication is used to treat various inflammatory diseases of the external and anterior eye, including blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, and iritis, as well as post-operative inflammation. It effectively alleviates such inflammation to improve symptoms and help protect eye health.
Instill 1-2 drops at a time, 2-4 times a day. Adjust as necessary according to symptoms.
This medication should not be used in patients with viral conjunctival diseases, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, or chronic blepharitis. Patients who have had an allergic reaction to this medication should also refrain from its use. It is generally not to be used in patients with corneal epithelial damage or ulcers, tuberculous or purulent eye diseases, glaucoma patients, and children under 2 years of age; if absolutely necessary, it should be used with great caution. Long-term use may lead to increased intraocular pressure and glaucoma, optic nerve damage, and decreased vision, so regular assessment of intraocular pressure is necessary. Additionally, this medication can worsen infections such as herpetic keratitis or fungal keratitis, so appropriate treatment must be sought immediately if an infection is suspected. Long-term use can also increase the risk of cataracts or secondary infections, so caution is required. Patients who have never contracted chickenpox or measles or have not been vaccinated should take special care to avoid infection while using this medication, and should seek medical attention immediately if an infection is suspected. Using this medication in red eyes without a doctor's diagnosis can lead to blindness, so it must be used according to a professional's guidance. When using this medication for more than 10 days, children or patients who are difficult to cooperate with should also undergo regular monitoring of intraocular pressure. If inflammation or pain persists or worsens beyond 48 hours, usage should be discontinued immediately and consultation with a physician should occur. If wearing contact lenses, they should be removed before instillation and can be reapplied at least 30 minutes afterward. Temporary blurriness may occur after instillation, so driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided until vision has cleared. Particularly in children and patients on certain medications, there is an increased risk of systemic side effects, hence more caution is necessary during prolonged or intensive treatment. This medication may interact with certain drugs, so it must be used according to a physician's guidance when combined with other medications. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid long-term or frequent use, and nursing mothers should preferably avoid use; if unavoidable, breastfeeding should be discontinued. Special attention is required for pediatric and geriatric patients as their bodily functions may differ. This medication is for eye drop use only, and care should be taken to prevent the tip of the container from coming into contact with the eye. Before use, shake well and avoid sharing to prevent contamination. When storing, keep in a sealed container to shield from air and light, and store at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. Following this storage will help maintain the effectiveness of the medication.
