This medication is used to help effectively lower and control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control when telmisartan is used alone.

How to take

Adult dose

Patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with telmisartan alone should take this medication once daily with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to adjust the dosage of each component separately before switching to this fixed-dose combination medication. When clinically appropriate, switching directly from monotherapy to this combination can be considered. - Telmisartan

The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children under 18 years.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This medication should not be used in patients with allergies to any components or excipients, hypersensitivity to sulfonamide drugs, pregnant or nursing women, patients with bile duct obstruction or cholestasis, severe liver disease, severe kidney disease, acute glomerulonephritis, anuria, and specific electrolyte disturbances. Elderly patients, patients with hyperkalemia, mild to moderate liver dysfunction, valvular heart disease, ischemic heart disease, etc., should use this medication with caution and patients at risk of skin cancer should have their skin condition regularly checked. This medication can cause various adverse reactions, including dizziness, hypotension, gastrointestinal disturbances, skin rash, myalgia, etc., so any symptoms should be reported to a doctor immediately.
