Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this drug or its components. Additionally, it should not be used by children under the age of 1. It is advisable not to use this medication in conjunction with other eye drops during treatment. When taken orally, ketotifen fumarate may enhance the effects of central nervous system depressants, antihistamines, and alcohol. Caution is also needed when using it alongside oral diet medications as it may temporarily reduce platelet levels. After instilling this medication, do not drive or operate machinery until your vision has returned to normal if it becomes blurred. Drowsiness or sedation may occur occasionally, so caution is advised during driving or machinery operation. Those receiving medical treatment or allergy therapy, or who have experienced allergic reactions to medications in the past, should consult a healthcare professional before using this medication. It is advisable to consult with an expert if you have persistent eye itching, pain, or are uncertain about your allergic symptoms, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If eye redness, irritation, or itching persists, or if eyelid inflammation occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If blurred vision does not improve, or symptoms worsen, or if symptoms do not improve after 1 week of use, stop using and seek consultation. Temporary stinging or irritation symptoms such as redness, swelling, and itching may occur when using this medication. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and it is for ophthalmic use only. Care should be taken to avoid contact between the tip of the container and the eyelid or eyelashes, and this medication should not be used if the solution is contaminated or discolored. Avoid joint use, and maintain a gap of at least 5 minutes when using with other eye drops. If this medication is accidentally ingested, the amount is less than a typical oral dosage, so there is little concern for overdose. Benzalkonium chloride, a preservative in this medication, can adhere to soft contact lenses; therefore, do not use it while wearing contact lenses and wait at least 15 minutes after administration before wearing them. This medication should be stored at temperatures between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius, and should not be used after 4 weeks post-opening. Keep out of reach of children and store in the original container with the lid tightly closed. Transferring to another container may pose risks of misuse or degradation of quality.
