Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus when taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters; therefore, if pregnancy is confirmed, treatment should be discontinued immediately. This medication should not be used in patients with certain allergies, severely impaired kidney function, severely impaired liver function, or in women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Patients with hypotension, or with problems related to the kidneys or liver, hyperuricemia or gout, the elderly, and those with abnormal potassium levels in the blood should use this medication with caution. During treatment, regular blood tests should be conducted to monitor electrolyte levels and kidney function, and side effects such as dizziness, cough, and skin rash may occur; consult a physician if any unusual symptoms arise. This medication may increase potassium levels, so care should be taken to avoid taking potassium supplements or potassium-containing salt substitutes. The hydrochlorothiazide component may cause electrolyte imbalances, and rarely serious skin reactions or acute pulmonary issues; if symptoms appear, alert medical personnel immediately. This medication may cause sensitivity to sunlight; avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, and notify your doctor immediately if new skin lesions develop. During treatment, blood pressure may drop rapidly due to dehydration or excessive sweating, vomiting, or diarrhea; adequate hydration is necessary. This medication has not been confirmed safe for use in children and adolescents, so it is advisable not to use it in this population. Caution should be taken, as dizziness or drowsiness may occur when driving or operating machinery. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a physician before taking this medication, and especially during pregnancy, it should be avoided, while caution is also needed during breastfeeding.
