Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension.
This medication is used to effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure with either amlodipine or telmisartan monotherapy.
The recommended dosage for this medication is 1 tablet once a day, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). For patients with severe renal impairment, treatment should start at a lower dose, and the dosage should be gradually increased. For patients with liver impairment, the daily dose of telmisartan should not exceed 40 milligrams. Elderly patients should begin treatment at a lower dose and increase the dosage gradually.
Safety and efficacy in patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so the use of this medication is not recommended.
This medication should not be used during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimesters, as it may pose serious risks to the fetus. If pregnancy is confirmed, the use of this medication should be discontinued as soon as possible. Administration is not recommended for those who are allergic to the active ingredients or similar medications, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, nursing mothers, individuals with obstructive biliary disease, severe liver impairment, certain cardiac conditions, severe hypotension, shock, unstable heart failure after acute myocardial infarction, and individuals with specific genetic issues. Additionally, patients with diabetes or moderate to severe kidney dysfunction should not take this medication in conjunction with other medications that contain specific ingredients. Particular caution is required for patients with primary hyperaldosteronism, certain heart valve diseases, liver impairment, gastrointestinal diseases, renal artery hypertension, patients on dialysis for kidney failure, and elderly individuals. This medication may commonly cause side effects such as dizziness, peripheral edema, and blood pressure drops, and in severe cases, fainting or heart problems may occur, so caution is advised. Pregnant or nursing women should not take this medication, and those planning pregnancy are recommended to switch to other safe antihypertensive treatments. This medication may interact with various other drugs; therefore, patients should consult healthcare professionals if they are taking other medications. Elderly patients may react more sensitively to this medication, and it is safer to start at a lower dose and gradually increase it when they begin taking it. In cases of overdose, serious symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and heart rhythm abnormalities may occur, necessitating immediate contact with a healthcare facility. Finally, this medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children, and it is advisable that the packaging be opened right before use.
Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness, severe rash accompanied by fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, difficulty breathing or respiratory distress, asthma attacks, cough with accompanying fever and respiratory abnormalities, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, lightning-like headache, seizures, confusion of consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, decreased urine output.

This medication is sensitive to light and should be stored in a container that protects it from light. Additionally, it should be kept at a temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius to maintain its effectiveness.
