Treatment of male pattern baldness
This medicine is used for the treatment of male pattern baldness, specifically androgenetic alopecia, occurring in adult males, particularly between the ages of 18 and 41. It effectively alleviates hair loss and helps to improve hair health.
Generally, finasteride is taken orally at a dose of 1 mg once daily, and it can be taken with or without food.
This medication should not be used by children or women. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should not handle broken pieces of this medication. This drug works by inhibiting the conversion of certain male hormones and can cause abnormalities in the development of the male fetus's reproductive system if exposed to pregnant women. During the use of this drug, symptoms such as depression or mood changes may occur; if these symptoms appear, you should consult your doctor immediately. Patients with liver dysfunction should use this medication with caution, and it should also be taken carefully in individuals with metabolic disorders such as hyperlipidemia or diabetes. This medication has been reported to have side effects related to sexual function, such as decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculatory dysfunction; if these symptoms are severe, you should stop taking the medication and consult a specialist. Additionally, some patients may experience breast tenderness, breast enlargement, hypersensitivity reactions, etc.; it is important to inform medical personnel immediately if any unusual symptoms occur.
