Improvement of symptoms related to gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastritis (excess gastric acid, heartburn, etc.)
This medication helps treat ulcers in the stomach and duodenum and alleviates symptoms caused by gastritis and excess gastric acid. It improves uncomfortable symptoms such as heartburn, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, and it also alleviates belching symptoms. Therefore, it is used effectively to improve various gastrointestinal symptoms.
Take 1 g of almagate 3 times a day, chewed and taken orally 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. An additional dose can be taken if necessary before sleep.
Children over 12 years of age can take 1 g of almagate 3 times a day, chewed and taken orally 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. An additional dose can be taken if necessary before sleep.
This medicine should not be taken by anyone who is allergic to this medicine or its ingredients. It is also advisable not to take this medicine if you have Alzheimer's disease or hemorrhoids. Those with body edema, preeclampsia, diarrhea, or unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding should not take this medication. It is important not to take this medicine together with tetracycline antibiotics, as the absorption may be hindered when both medications are taken at the same time. People taking other medications should consult with their doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine, as it can affect the absorption or excretion of drugs. In particular, it is recommended to space the intake of this medicine 2 to 3 hours apart from nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcer treatments, digitalis preparations, iron supplements, etc. Patients with impaired kidney function should be careful, as magnesium or aluminum contained in this medicine may accumulate in the body. Those who are weak or have insufficient intake, or those with absorption problems should be cautious as long-term use may affect bone health. Elderly patients, those with gastrointestinal bleeding symptoms, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should always consult a professional before taking this medication. If constipation or diarrhea occurs during usage, or if symptoms do not improve within 2 weeks, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. It is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, and when administering to children, it should only be done under the guidance and supervision of a guardian. This medicine should be stored out of the reach of children, in its original container, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place. Be cautious as transferring to another container may decrease quality or pose a risk of misuse.
